Indigo Blue Kitchen and Modern Bathroom Remodel

This rural Dodgeville home was purchased by Chicagoans as a getaway during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the more time they spent there, the more they desired some updates. They turned to Vive to design a more functional kitchen and dining room layout, higher quality cabinetry, and a brighter, more modern main bathroom.

Vive removed a wall and opened the kitchen up to the dining and living rooms, reconfigured the appliance layout to place the stove for convenient access by multiple chefs, and installed a larger window and a buffet. Kitchen finishes include a combination of Indigo Blue and white cabinetry, quartz countertops, matte Biscuit tile backsplash, open shelving and a blue and yellow decorative accent panel above the stove.

In the bathroom, Vive moved the toilet, replaced the tub with a walk-in shower, and added a window, towel warmer and shiplap wall. The shower is the highlight of the room, with a retro hex tile floor and niche, a large bench and matte Ice White walls with matte Desert Gray and black accent lines. A vanity with quartz countertop and a trendy decorative tile floor finish the space.

The interior home remodel also included new LVP flooring, an updated HVAC system and a larger window in the great room.
