Kitchen, Family Room and Powder Bath Renovation

Vive transformed the main living spaces of this Madison, Wisconsin home. In the family room, painting the brick wall brightened the space, as did a new skylight, patio doors and windows. Vive removed the island spanning the kitchen and the family room, as well as the dated cabinetry it was connected to in the family room. New kitchen finishes include a combination of upper white and lower blue painted cabinetry, quartz countertops and a subway tile backsplash, with a row of ribbed accent tile and floating shelves. Removal of the wall between a breakfast nook and the kitchen opened up the entire space. Breakfast nook seating was relocated to the peninsula, butler’s pantry built-in cabinetry was updated and expanded, and French doors were added to the dining room entry. Finally, a small powder bath was updated to maximize space.
