Subtly Craftsman Style Kitchen & Master Bathroom Remodel

The retired owners of this Madison, Wisconsin, home built it in 1989 and wanted to refresh their living space. Their journey began with their master bathroom renovation, which inspired them to extend their improvements to the kitchen.

Master Bathroom

Vive did a total makeover of the dated master bathroom, touching every aspect from floor to ceiling. Key changes included replacing the vanity, upgrading from a sunken tub to a freestanding one, adding a makeup vanity, replacing the enclosed shower with a tile shower, reshaping entries to arches, and incorporating additional storage.

Kitchen

To create a more spacious and inviting kitchen area, Vive removed the walls separating the dining room, four-season porch and kitchen. This transformation resulted in a larger kitchen with the added convenience of a coffee station and wet bar. The new layout now boasts an island, pantry, dining space, and seating area, all seamlessly integrated. The warm ambiance is enhanced by the rich hardwood flooring.

As a bonus, the project also encompassed the creation of a custom fireplace surround and bookshelves in the family room.
